What guides our work on the estate?

Our convictions !

Cabernet franc is the main grape variety on our estate. It is used to create a range of very different red wines, according to the type of terroir and the age of the vines.

We also grow Chenin blanc and Chardonnay grapes, They are used to create our “Quarterons Blanc” and our Crémant de Loire « Les Quarterons », Maison Amirault gently sparkling.

We feel very strongly about protecting the environment so that we can make “living wines” capable of creating the wow effect in every vintage.

To preserve the environment, we use simple, common-sense methods as we work on our vines. We constantly strive to achieve a natural balance across the entire estate. This led us to the decision to run our vineyard based on the precepts of biodynamic agriculture.

Biodynamic farming is very important for us, because it respects LIFE.
It is far more than just a list of specifications. The ecosystem lies at the crossroads of energies from the Earth (roots) and Space (flowers, leaves and fruit)
Given that the microbiological life of the vineyard is what enables both successful fermentations in the cellar and the creation of wine that is able to survive without a technological crutch, sustaining a healthy habitat in the vineyard for these microbes is fundamental for us.
This microbiological life follows the grapes into the cellar, transforms the juice and even makes its way into the final wine in the bottle.
Our wines are therefore, literally, living wine from living soil.

For us, the Biodynamie principles go well beyond the wine itself, it is also a philosophy, a way of life, in which the whole team is involved and shared every day with our visitors, partners, suppliers, clients…!

Every day we aim to go further and every action has to be socially and environmentally engaged.

After all, our motto is : “There is not Humans on one side and Nature on the other side, Humans are Nature” ! Pierre Rabhi

*Our estate is Demeter certified, so we can offer our clients the “taste of the place” in total transparency. Before seeking certification in biodynamic agriculture, we first had to be certified organic. So our wines are certified both organic, with the Ecocert label, and biodynamic, with the Demeter certification.
