We got together with Tennch, a reputed graffiti artist, who has just completed a huge mural in our winery …….. To discover ……

The “Masterpiece Winery”

 Why graffiti the winery?

Once more at Clos de Quarterons, several objectives brought this unique project to the fore.

First of all, a great meeting with Tennch, a graffiti artist based in Anjou and a participant for many years at the Vignes Vin Randos (Vineyards, wine, hike) event in Saint Nicholas de Bourgueil.

Furthermore, we regularly receive requests for visits to the winery and the idea was conceived to make it more “attractive” by having it graffitied by Tennch.

Decorate it YES… but behind this project, we wanted above all to give meaning to the fulfilment of this gigantic work!

Each concrete tank reveals a key moment in the vineyards, with the Saints symbolising the seasons in the vineyards and in agriculture generally.

Here is the year of the winemaker:

“In the winemaker’s notebook …..

Every month in the cultivation of the vine, be immersed you will,

The pruning, the trellising, the leaf management, nurse you will,

Sicknesses like mildew or odium, avoid you will,

The vegetative cycle, respect you will,

The weather forecast, monitor you will,

The fruit set and the ripening, watch over you will

The date of the harvest, decide you will.”

Note: More than 300 hours, working day and night, were necessary for Tennch to complete this “Masterpiece” covering almost 100m2.
